Resolution for ALL Children
DiversityEmbracing the shared responsibility between parents, educators and the community-at-large, the Molalla River School District Board of Directors passed the following resolution in support of ALL children in our diverse community.


RESOLUTION 2019-20 0006

WHEREAS, In recognition of the importance of meaningful collaboration between schools, families and community, the Molalla River School Board recognizes the value of parent involvement in assuring success for ALL students; and

WHEREAS, the Molalla River School Board’s mission is to provide leadership and vision for Molalla’s schools by enacting policies and promoting educational practices that lead directly to the educational and life success of ALL District students; and

WHEREAS, The Molalla River School Board celebrates the partnership between parents and educators to assure the educational success and well being of every student, and

WHEREAS, the Molalla River School Board reaffirms its commitment to equity and access to education as a core value, manifested by a steadfast commitment to creating a welcoming environment for all students and families by eliminating barriers and promoting student success; and

WHEREAS, public schools in Molalla are subject to, and abide by, all federal and state laws and constitutional provisions prohibiting discrimination; and

WHEREAS, the Molalla River School Board promotes nondiscrimination and an environment free of harassment based on an individual’s race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national original, marital status, age or disability, including the commitment that student success will not be predicted nor predetermined by an individual’s national origin, immigration status, or native language; and

WHEREAS, we recognize that the current polarizing climate causes uncertainty and anxiety for many, and that we share in the responsibility to respond to these circumstances on behalf of all Molalla educational professionals, students and families.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that we affirm our commitment to work collaboratively with all parents/guardians and across our communities to prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s world, and we hereby recognize November as PARENT PARTNERSHIPS IN EDUCATION MONTH.
